Why haven't we got Sprite or Seven Up? The first clue to the answer is in the name of the building our restaurant is housed in. For those that hadn't noticed, we're in the base of the Lemonade building. This is so called because? Many years ago, Robert Whites had a factory in Barking that made this very tasty, premium Lemonade. The factory was on the site of the present day Lemonade building... hence the name! So we've chosen to keep the Robert White's brand as its not only a very tasty and refreshing lemonade (compared to all others on the market!) but it also has a historical link in terms of the sites past. So next time you want a refreshing drink - remember to ask us for R Whites Lemonade - and not 7up and Sprite :) We think you'll appreciate it!

As our regular customers know we like to keep a balance between what tastes good and what's actually good for you! So now we've introduced the Belvoir range of lightly carbonated sparkling mineral waters with a gentle infusion of fruit juices. Traditional Elderflower was our first choice - a great flavour that we think goes very well with sushi. It's a light, refreshing flavour, and will go down well on a hot summers day. We then selected Cranberry, as our customers had been asking for something that had a little more bite to it than a regular orange or apple juice.. So for those with a sharper palette this is the one for you. Finally came something more unusual, Pomegranate and Raspberry. We weren't sure at first, until we tasted it that is.. A very refreshing blend that leaves a very clear (and pleasant) pomegranate after taste... We've also added a more traditional favourite with the launch of Appletiser - 100% apple juice lightly sparkling... For our milkshake lovers we've also introduced the new Mango flavour - that's one that has certainly proved a hit so far!! So next time you're in - why not try one of our new drinks? Something different is always welcome...

We'd like to thank all customers that made a donation in the restaurant, or through the online appeal: www.justgiving.com/oishibarking The above weblink remains live for anyone that would like to make a contribution. We hope that the donation we make will go some way to helping those less fortunate than ourselves at this time of need across the North East coast of Japan. There's a lot of work to be done to rebuild the country, but knowing the Japanese culture, they'll come back stronger than before.
